Inquiry-led learning requires children and educators to be curious.

Starting with a genuine question, inquiry-led learning leads us through a variety of possibilities, taking us on adventurous pathways that build our knowledge, skills and capacity.

We must manage our uncertainty to stay open to multiple perspectives and solutions. We experience the discomfort of not having answers, experimenting with new ideas, skills, media and tools and accommodating different ways of thinking. We take joy in our engagement with materials, ideas, people and places.

Fields of knowledge blend. Disciplinary skills combine. Competency increases. Capacity builds. Confidence grows.

As solutions emerge, we hold ourselves open to the possibility of being wrong while taking responsibility for our learning and being accountable for our influence on others.

Throughout the process we document our experience, trying to capture our thoughts, questions our assumptions and look forward to new possibilities as well as providing evidence of what we have achieved. With commitment, perseverance and trust we emerge strengthened in the joy of shared professional learning, with rekindled excitement for and renewed appreciation of the challenges of learning for learners.
